Five flooded industrial estates drained

Five of the seven industrial estates ravaged by flooding have been completely drained, Industry Minister Wannarat Channukul said on Tuesday.
He said water was still being pumped out of the two other industrial estates - Saharattana Nakhon and Navanakorn.
Saharattana Nakhon in Ayutthaya province was expected to be dry by Dec 2 and Navanakorn in Pathum Thani by Dec 10.
Mr Wannarat said restoration work at the five drained industrial estates were satisfactorily in progress and they had designated Dec 5 a "big cleaning day."
Bang Wa and Hi-Tech industrial estates had scheduled to return to full operation and production on Dec 1.
Forty-seven factories of 93 in Factory Land Industrial Estate had resumed their operation.
The Industry Ministry had provided flood-hit factories with clean water, especially those producing electronic goods, to clean up their facilities and machinery, Mr Wannarat said.
